My Favourite Sustainable and Disruptive Technologies

A piece of disruptive technology that I use on a daily basis is the car. This technology is disruptive as it disrupts the use of trains, buses, the subway, bikes, and streetcars. A sustainable piece of technology that I use everyday is my laptop. This technology is sustainable because the software and hardware (memory, RAM, etc.) can be upgraded thus the laptop is still in use, and not disrupted.

This page contains information on disruptive technology:

My Educational Achievements

So far, in my educational career, I have completed grade 12 in India (non-medical) and I also participated in many extra curricular sports in soccer which I played at the state-level. I am currently in my second semester of business accounting at Sheridan College.

My Personal Goals

My personal goals include;

- getting a 3.0 average this semester
- finishing my accounting diploma next year
- going to the gym and putting on muscle mass
- to perfect my English speaking
- to learn more about Canada, and the customs here

Business Leaders I Admire

1. Bill Gates

I admire Mr. Gates because of his business savvy, and the fact that he has made a successful business empire out of his computer operating system company. Also his company has been consistently successful year after year.

2. Steve Jobs

For being innovative, and rejuvenating the Apple brand after its downfall. Apple is now one of the most popular electronics brands in the world. Every new innovation is greeted by extreme success (ex. iPod, iPhone, MacBook Air, iPad, etc.). Overall I admire Steve Jobs for his innovation and commitment to the Apple brand.

3. Warren Buffet

I admire Mr. Buffet for his philanthropy, he has donated much of his hard-earned living to charity. He is also admirable for his investment prowess and success in investing.

4. Oprah Winfrey

I admire Oprah for her generous and giving spirit, and her ability to help people live a better life, instead of shameless promotion. This is what has made her so successful with her show and production.

5. Richard Branson

As the owner of the Virgin brand, he was faced with a huge difficulty entering the digital age because of the fact that CD sales were sharply decreasing. However instead of becoming defunct, he took the Virgin brand and made it more successful than ever before.

My Career Goals

My career goals in business, include starting my career as an accountant, finishing my course at Sheridan, working at an accounting firm.

I am preparing for this career by studying at Sheridan college. I plan to find work at an accounting firm after finishing this course. Later on I would like to be able to open my own service, and begin doing personal accounts for my clients.
